We are regularly involved with the following items to satisfy or exceed all current health and safety regulations:

  • Risk Assessments
  • Method statements
  • Insured
  • The basic rules to follow are nobody of the following dispositions should take part:
  • Pregnant women
  • People with existing heart, neck or back conditions
  • Those under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • You should always follow the following rules in addition to the above:
  • Fat-suits must be used only on the safety mat when centred in an area 2m clear of the mat on all sides
  • Participants must wear helmets
  • Shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges, etc. should be removed before fighting
  • Punching and scratching or generally playing nasty is not permitted
  • A fallen combatant must never be lifted by the head
  • Adults must not fight children (age 16 and under)
  • Male adults must not fight female adults
  • Sumo fat suit fighting must take place on the mat and overspill area, but this must not be sited on concrete, in a car park of similar area
  • This activity can take place on licensed premises but not in Nightclubs or premises holding late night extension where there is a dance floor and where dancing is permitted
